Financial Preparedness
This event helps you understand the real costs of studying abroad so every college conversation starts from a position of clarity
Financial aid officers, admissions teams, and scholarship coordinators from participating institutions are at this fair to have it directly.
Parents and guardians are the decision makers on loans, funds, and financial risk. This fair is designed for that conversation too.
Immigration Preparedness
Counsellors and global outreach teams at this fair work through visa timelines and documentation requirements for every destination country represented
The timeline
Passport (new or renewal)
4 to 8 weeks
English proficiency test
6 to 12 weeks
Financial documentation
4 to 8 weeks
University application and decision
4 to 16 weeks
Visa application after offer
3 to 8 weeks
Starting three months before the intended intake is already late. Counsellors at this fair help students identify where they are in this timeline and what moves first.
Documents every application requires
Country-specific requirements
Visa requirements are set by the destination country, not the university. Financial thresholds, document formats, and processing times differ across the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and Europe. Global outreach teams from each institution at this fair can speak to what their specific country requires.
Language requirements beyond instruction
A program taught in English does not automatically waive the host country's language requirement. Germany, France, and several other countries have language requirements tied to visa status. Students planning for non-English-speaking countries can get this clarified directly at the fair.
Academic Eligibility: What colleges actually require
Admissions teams at this fair go beyond what is published on a university website. Bring your academic record and your questions.
Indian mark sheets require credential evaluation for most international applications. WES is the standard in North America. UK ENIC applies in the United Kingdom.
| Indian percentage (approx.) | US GPA equivalent |
|---|---|
| 90 and above | 4.0 |
| 80 to 89 | 3.5 to 3.9 |
| 70 to 79 | 3.0 to 3.4 |
| 60 to 69 | 2.5 to 2.9 |
| Below 60 | Below 2.5 |
Minimum requirements vary by program. Admissions officers at this fair can tell you where your profile stands for specific programs.
The fair works better when students come ready
This is not a general information session. Admissions officers, professors, scholarship coordinators, and counsellors are here to have specific conversations. The more prepared a student is, the more they take away.
Know the program, not just the college name.
Representatives answer specific questions. A student who has read the program structure gets a different conversation than one who has not.
Rankings measure research output, not fit.
Program structure, faculty research areas, placement data, and campus culture matter more for most students than a global ranking. Ask representatives about outcomes, not reputation.
Admissions is not an entrance exam.
There is no single score that determines admission. Statements of purpose are read. Recommendation letters are contacted. Inconsistencies in academic record are noticed and asked about. Professors and admissions officers at this fair can walk students through what a strong application looks like.
Parents make the final decision in most Indian families.
Representatives know this. Bring them.
